A little about Lou...

	Lou comes to real estate from over twenty years in the teaching community.  She taught drawing and printmaking at the University of Maine and the University of New Hampshire before moving to Taos fifteen years ago.
	Born in Wichita, Kansas, Lou grew up in Oklahoma and California.  Her ancestors were early pioneers in the Oklahoma Territory.  She takes pride in her Native American ancestry, tracing part of her lineage to the Choctaw Tribe.  Lou graduated from the University of Iowa in 1971 with a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting.
When taking a break from her work in real estate, Lou pursues her love of drawing and painting.  Hiking in the Taos Ski Valley has become a passion as well. As a member of the Taos Archaeological Society, she has become an avid student of the rich and varied cultural history of the northern New Mexico area. Taos offers a wealth of history and cultural interchange.
Now in her 15th year she is one of the top sales agents in Taos. She is proud to be an associate broker and a member of a great team of professionals with RE/MAX of Taos Real Estate!
What pleases her most is how her clients feel.

Let me introduce you to my fabulous personal assistant, Cherry Montano! She is the greatest! Cherry is a native New Mexican born in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She has lived in Taos for the past 28 years where she has reared two wonderful children, Naomi and B.J.. Because of her love of animals and especially her Santa Gertrudis cattle, she has involved her children in the 4H experience. They are now showing prize winning specimens in State and National Fairs. You should see her with her cows. They all have names. She treats them more like large pets than cows! Cherry assists me in a variety of indispensable ways. She keeps in touch with each Seller when their properties are advertised; she installs signs and replenishes our color flyers in brochure boxes; she maintains our Buyer and Seller database; she oversees all special mailings; she keeps me on my toes. She does all of this with her fine organizational skills. When she is not assisting me, she acts as Executive Officer of our Realtors' Board office. This is a major responsibility....keeping all 128 realtors in our Board informed and on their toes! I am lucky to have Cherry!
